We have quite a few rides coming up for 2008. Listed below are a few in the works now. If you have a ride idea you can email me and we’ll put it on the list. As the time approaches for these rides we will add the date, time, meeting place, and who is leading the ride. We are also planning some overnight trips this year. As the year progresses we will be adding more ride ideas. Remember, this is your chapter, and your ideas or suggestions for rides/dinners will be welcomed. We also plan a couple of picnics when the weather gets nicer. We know everyone can’t make all the rides, so the more rides we can schedule means more opportunities for members to be able to make some of them. I would like to encourage EVERYONE to come take the course -- both Riders and Co-Riders. It is good to understand the responsibilities of the Lead and Tail bikes, even if you do not think that you will ever be riding in those positions. So that I can provide Gene Blazer, the instructor for the course, with an estimate of how many people will be attending, please let me know if you plan to participate. There is NO CHARGE for the course. Please also let me know if you would like to have a Road Captain rocker patch for your vest. The cost for the patch is $2 if you want the red and white patch and $3 is you want the black and gold patch. I will be getting the patches after we have completed the course. Let me know if you have questions. |

The District Director has announced that the 2009 Alabama District Rally will be held at the Pelham Civic Center. They made arrangements with 5 hotels in the area and will have a shuttle bus running between all locations. Dates were not announced but we presume the first weekend in April as usual. As more information is released we will forward it to all Chapter K members. |
